This is not 10 years ago. Geopolitical tensions are increasing to a breaking point, and soon we may have to choose a side, and therefore get caught in the middle of it. We should also negotiate a military alliance with the United States, Australia, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Canada, and perhaps NATO. If that will jeopardise our safety too much, then prioritise one with the USA, Australia, Britain and Canada first, before potentially adding Japan and South Korea, the Philippines, and then Taiwan and other NATO countries. |
