ofcourse it should be made legal. the main point to make here is that its already in the country weather you like it or not so by not legalizing it the only people benefiting are the ones growing and dealing it to others. A huge benefit to making it legal is that it will open up far more jobs and the government will make a lot of profit off of it instead of the "criminals" who sell it currently. its far safer than any other drug on the planet including drugs such as Panadol, caffeine and oncourse the big one being alcohol. you cant even OD on marijuana, its insane that this is even a discussion, its already on the streets but by not legalizing it your making criminals out of people that aren't dangerous at all

 @9ZMPCQDNational answered…3mos3MO

No, but there should be strict rules to be able to give it to patientss that need it for medical care.

 @9Q54SK5Labouranswered…8mos8MO

I believe that maybe, marijuana should be legalized but only if there's a restriction on how much you take, and that you cannot buy any for other people, only yourself. Keep tabs on people who are violent, and put particular restrictions on them.

 @9J78RN2 answered…1yr1Y

Save legalization by drugs and cocaine more diverse over cracks murijuana junks with high police alerts no threaten children under accident behaviors

 @9G6J3B5Nationalanswered…1yr1Y

People need it for medical reasons and so many people do it so its a bit on the fence as people will find it no matter how hard you ban it If its legal then some people are already stupid without killing more brain cells

 @9G5SRFTanswered…1yr1Y

Decriminalise the usage and home growing (with limits) and/or have a somewhat regulated market with tax

 @9G5DZ4Kanswered…1yr1Y

as long as it is mainly used for medical treatment or to treat anxiety and other mental health problems

 @9G5C8PDanswered…1yr1Y

I'm For Grow your own, smoke at home being legal. Shops will only be in the poorest communities like vape shop currently are.

 @9G4NJ8Ranswered…1yr1Y

Yes, with increased education around the use, an age requirement and conditions of use. Criminal convictions of personal use and growing should be wiped

 @9G4F754answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but it should be illegal to smoke around children, and how it takes away ambition and motivation should be well documented and in education. Medical should be available for everyone with no restrictions and easy access.

 @9G45JKSanswered…1yr1Y

 @9DXR2P5Greenanswered…1yr1Y

 @9DXDSYHanswered…1yr1Y

 @9DW29LDNationalanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, if their is more done on the rules and regulations before putting it to the vote

 @9DRYWK9answered…1yr1Y

Yes but only once the government can prove it can come up with a sufficient action plan that covers more basis and considers all side effects

 @9DRY5BB answered…1yr1Y

Yes, and immediately release people serving time for possession and or selling of marijuana, but increase government funding for education and research around drugs, addiction treatment and rehabilitation

 @9DRNWP5ACTanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, legalise tax and regulate but only when roadside testing is accurate enough to prevent and discourage drug driving.

 @9DQX339answered…1yr1Y

yes but only for the sale for the common people, not for corporate interests.

 @9DQLKHNanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only in the same sense as alcohol is legalized. When must have an accurate roadside test similar to alcohol breath testing that is reliable to prevent drug drivers. Further to this is must remain illegal to work whilst under the influence. There should be authorized sellers only and places to use recreationally separate to bars/night-clubs. The legal aged should be 21. Edibles, CBD oil and vaporizers only no "smoking" which we harms your lungs/bronchioles

 @9DQCX3Danswered…1yr1Y

Marijuana can cause mental health issues, medical issues and physical issues so No I do not support legalisation of Marijuana. More education to deter use.

 @9DF6VQWanswered…1yr1Y

 @9DDHKB6answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but it needs to be regulated/licensed so it doesn't add to the current mental health crisis in NZ.

 @9DD3XSXanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, it allows for government and health officials to tightly restrict and regulate marijuana and it's distribution, while also helping by making the option of buying from dealers (with potentially malicious intent) less appealing

 @9DCBPFWanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9DC95WQanswered…2yrs2Y

There still needs to more discussion and additions made to the bill that ensures vulnerable communities are protected. E.g That we don't see a repeat of the dynamic of Bottles Stores targeting communities that sit lower on the socio-economic scale, and who are already battling with addiction and issues related to or as a result of addiction such as inability to budget income, domestic violence etc.

 @9DBKDMDanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes for medicinal/prescription purposes as a first stage. would generate more money for government we can feed into better healthcare provider services. Would need limitations on marijuana vendors - think should be independently appointed regulators - not big pharmas or central govt.

 @9DB574Canswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, legalize is but heavily regulate it. At the same time heavily regulate alcohol to the same level to reduce violent offending.

 @9D7LM2SACTanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes however same rules should apply as Alcohol. Laws around using and safe use and education around each substance.
Welfare users (People on the doll capable of working) should not be allowed to use drugs/alcohol or cigarettes. Should be based on own earnings.

 @9D6S5PPACTanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9D4CHYRanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9WN3R5YLabouranswered…4mos4MO

yes mostly for medicine, and there should be a restriction on how much you can purchase in one go and where you can use it example, not in work, not in public spaces or around kids.

 @9SSNXGXNationalanswered…6mos6MO

Yes, but only in uses such as economically (Hemp used to make products) and used for psychological relief.

 @9FZ3ZJHanswered…1yr1Y

 @9FXVNS8New Zealand Loyalanswered…1yr1Y

yes, a maximum of 2 plants per household, release anyone serving time for marijuana (unless they sold it to minors)

 @9FVRP2CNationalanswered…1yr1Y

Legal marijuana should be part of the health system. Smoking marijuana should still be illegal because of the passive smoking from children etc in the environment

 @9FT9T8Tanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, and we should work to release anyone serving time solely for drug offences not pertaining to violence and also legalise, tax, and regulate marijuana instead of criminalizing it.

 @9FRB5LBanswered…1yr1Y

No but it should be decriminalized for minor offenses such as possession for small quantities used for personal use, bongs, pipes etc.

 @9FQZRRNMāorianswered…1yr1Y

Not 100% sure on this i voted no in the referendum but i dont think the personal use of marijuana should be a crime

 @9FQT7QTanswered…1yr1Y

decriminalization of marijuana i support and yes release incarcerated citizens solely in custody due to Marijuana conviction/sentences.

 @9FQPKG2Greenanswered…1yr1Y

There is not enough work around health legislation to be able to legalise cannabis for it to be safe (I.e. drug driving, workplace safety, childcare requirements)

 @9FQFN4GGreenanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, as long as it regulated and all existing criminal sentences are revoked.

 @9FMDYDWNationalanswered…1yr1Y

low penalties for small amounts but stop the gangs and their million dollar non taxed business

 @9FMDSWMNew Zealand Firstanswered…1yr1Y
