Yes, for children, senior citizens and those on lower incomes. Prices for general oral care should be reduced.

 @9D4TSBVanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes but means test it and subsidize on a sliding scale for working or wealthy retired adults.

 @9G28S7Danswered…1yr1Y

Up to the age of 21 . Most detrimental health occurs at youth so if dental care is free for all children and youth this should prevent most problems. Other than that elderly care and free emergency dental care.

 @9F89R6Zanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, I think everyone should be entitled to subsidised dental care. Health care is important

 @9FXWBFHLabouranswered…1yr1Y

I want to agree but where does the funding come from and at what cost will this be to other aspects of our healthcare? Maybe subsiding dental care instead of making it free. This puts some of the responsibility back on the public. Taxing products containing sugar is a wiser option as sugar is the culprit in many cases.

 @9FQ8JWZACTanswered…1yr1Y

Yes but means tested, partial payment required (similar to current doctors fee, Acc surcharges). Could be funded as an additional levy on income simular to ACC for working people. Such a levy could be compulsory medical/dental insurance based on gross income to determine levy amount.

For those who can’t afford it currently and have associated problems, yes.

 @9FDVJRZNationalanswered…1yr1Y

Only if there is evidence they’ve been caring for their dental health over the past 3 - 5 years prior

Yes. The govt takes enough tax from us that they should. Or, give us a $500 tax rebate for dental care.

 @9D8FVKFanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes but with limitations. For example free up to age 25, then free check ups. Subsequent dental work subsidised depending on income. Cosmetic work not subsidised.

 @9CHH8FGanswered…2yrs2Y

I think this would be nationally beneficial, but not include fluridation of water - which is toxic.

 @95KSND5answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but subsidised for those on a lower income, free for children, not free for all, so it does not cost as much

 @8TJZWRKanswered…4yrs4Y

Have a partial govt subsidy for basic dental for all, and free comprehensive dental care for children and seniors

The rich should pay the current prices or more seen as they would need less treatment being able to access prevention in a way. The medium & low income prices should decrease severely and each dentist provide a certain amount of free care per year pro bono work for those that need it.

 @8GRN638answered…4yrs4Y

No. But provide some funding . It is impossible to have free dental care for everyone

 @8FJZLSManswered…4yrs4Y

 @8CTBSSManswered…4yrs4Y

I think it should be subsidised a lot more to be more affordable. Apart from cosmetic dentistry.

 @8CT673Banswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and during debates/interviews all contenders should be asked this question. If they say no, they should be asked why are healthy teeth not considered part of a "healthy human body?"

 @9CV34WQOpportunitiesanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes to at least a basic level (i.e. checkups, basic procedures such as fillings)

 @9CC8X8Wanswered…2yrs2Y

 @9C2K3PSanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, for children and seniors, but also on case-by-case basis. If someone requires life changing dental surgery, there should be a way to access this.

 @98PXPCQanswered…2yrs2Y

Dental health care by new Zealand government and under surveillance part of Mandated by health care providers inc

 @8GX36BZanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, basic dental treatment to maintain healthy teeth and not cosmetic dental care up to the age of 18

 @8GKV3B3answered…4yrs4Y

No, but free for children and students and regulate pricing for everyone else

 @8GKN4PPanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, regular dental expenses should be reimbursed for by the government.

 @8GCF4G3answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, with a subsidy only for health dental care, not cosmetic or other.

 @9ZN5T7TLabouranswered…3mos3MO

The repairs stepping stones make my bones wider should dental cares effects disease as said government feedback admins
