The human body (although capable) goes through so many changes and they are not always easy. There is also too many children who need loving families in NZ and that is evidence of why woman should have the right to choose. Money is another contributing factor. There are too many families on benefits who should have the right to not have children because they are already on the bottom of the income ladder!
In a perfect world every child would be born to loving, consenting adults. They would be financially secure, in good health, at an age where they understood the pressure of raising a child and baby would have no defects to makel life intolerable or more complex than any other child.
Women need to be able to make the right choice for them.
It’s just common sense, protect the people that already live and exist and pay your goddamn taxes over a cluster of cells that can’t live outside of that women choosing to carry it and bring it to life. If it cannot survive without the women carrying it and it’s not harming her life then it shouldn’t be included as life yet.
Abortion should be legal because it’s about personal freedom and control over your own body. Most people support the right to choose, and abortion is much safer than childbirth. Many pregnancies are unplanned, and not everyone can afford to travel to a clinic. Keeping abortion legal helps protect health, equality, and basic human rights.
How many of these pro life has adopt a child in the system, paid for children born into poverty. Paid for a women’s contraceptive that’s not subsidised let alone the doctors to get there. Why is it ok for men to have sex but not women. Make it make sence. This is not about the babies because no pro lifer care once the baby is born. Men are not held accountable for unwanted pregnancies. Women are shamed for men walking away. Men should have to wear protection or bring back the man pill.
I am adopted and I am lucky to have been adopted into a safe and loving family. I know if I was forced to be raised by my biological and unfit parent my needs would not have been met and it would have been a traumatic experience.
Note that I said I was lucky. Pro-lifers bring up adoption a lot but this is not always a safe and loving experience. There are many children who suffer with abuse, trauma etc in the foster system.
It is for these real experiences, not hypothetical, I am pro choice. Only those who are ready to have kids and can provide them a safe and loving home, should have them.

Pro-choice means that as a teenage girl or even a child you can feel happy and take the time you need to grow up and understand life. It also gives girls a better chance in schooling and more. As a teenage girl if we get raped or end up pregnant we are a ***** We need to keep pro-choice to help our world be a better place.
I don't believe in accidental pregnancies because they are preventable.
I also don't believe in bringing children into the world if you don't want them, can't afford them or can't give them all the opportunities they deserve in life.
Children don't ask to be born, we make that choice for them, and it should be very carefully considered.
Women who find themselves pregnant should be able to choose whether they want to, or are able to, bring up a child and support that child into adulthood.
It is always a woman's choice and she should have options and support in whatever she decides to do.
Women who don’t have access to healthcare may choose to terminate unsafely, or suffer unnecessarily mentally, or physically depending on personal position. They may consider suicide or have a baby they neglect. Nobody should be forced to continue a pregnancy when there are options. It’s nobody’s business how she got pregnant in the first place, not why she has made the decision.
