There are over 24,000 children in foster care at the moment, and only 125 adoptions happening in the year 2020 . Thats thousands of children in foster care until they eventually age out with next to know help. By providing women with the right to choose we can reduce these numbers and have less and less children being given up and living a life parentless.

About 43% of of abortions worldwide are illegal. Making it illegal wont stop it from happening it will only put women in more danger of harming themselves through either the carrying/birth of child, or dangerous methods of abortion.

No one can know the mental state of another person.To give birth to an unwanted child may be too much for some women.It is not the right of others to make this judgement

there are over 6,000 children in state care in NZ according to the ministry of social development. why have unplanned pregnancies, products of rape or incest babies add to this statistic while also force a woman to put herself at risk to add to this.

Other people’s lives are not your decision, instead of focussing on what others are doing with their own bodies and pregnancies you should focus on looking after the children that already need support that are in foster care/ up for adoption.

The ideology of liberalism also includes helping others, welfare programs, taxes to fund those who need help. This relates to the quote just shared, Bellamak believes people who decide not to have the child should not have to be solely responsible for the cost. She also shares the ideology of being a bit of a feminist as through being a pro choice advocate she advocates and supports the rights and equality of females, she values choice and freedom, human rights and justice.

I'm not sure there is any convincing someone with this position until they or someone they know is affected. This is a selfish and deplorable position.

If you were raped, would you want to raise the child who reminded you of that trauma? If you used all protection correctly, is it fair you should have to give up such a large part of you life due to fault in that contraceptive? This women has to firstly carry the baby to full term, every day potentially relive the assault forced upon her. The mental torture and anguish of javing to give birth to your rapists baby. Forcing her to be the victim for 9 months, or longer if she keeps the child in her custody.

I can see how everyone’s lives and ability to raise children is so different and therefore I believe that each person should be able to make their own decision and do what is best for them. If someone is not comfortable with themselves, their bodies and their situation, how are they meant to make it comfortable with an extra being? Why bring a child into this world if they won’t get their best upbringing?

In a perfect world every child would be born to loving, consenting adults. They would be financially secure, in good health, at an age where they understood the pressure of raising a child and baby would have no defects to makel life intolerable or more complex than any other child.
Women need to be able to make the right choice for them.

There are dozens of reasons why women choose to abort. It may be because they were raped, or because it would be cruel to continue a pregnancy with a child that will never live or require immense medical support. I got pregnant on three different methods of contraception. I did not want children, but got pregnant regardless of contraception. I chose to have all of them, but nonetheless all women should be able to make this choice.

Lots of people have different beliefs. No group of people should be able to enforce their own personal opinions on other people to their detriment.

Abortion does not affect fertility meaning that you can have a baby whenever you feel like your ready and prevent a problematic situation if you are not.

At the end of the day it's that persons life and they should be able to do what they want with their own body - if they can not financially support a child or if child birth is life threatening to them why should they not be able to get an abortion - the unborn fetus doesn't know have conscious memory yet - can any of us as adults remember our time in the womb? no.

Remains a personal choice, the woman alone knows her situation and what she can and can't cope with. Some woman in abusive and controlling relationships have contraception deliberately with-held. As for victims of rape and incest, they had no choice when the person who abused them did so without consent, do not re-victimise them by making them have a child - the experience will be another lifetime reminder of the abuse, and what of the child born into that situation???

67 out of 195 countries allow abortion. 128 countries do not. Women all around the world do not have the right to get rid of a child even if the can not look after them or have health conditions meaning they can die from pregnancies.

Why would u expect women that are raped to have a baby? The men who rape are not forced to keep the baby

I am also against pro life because what if you get raped and because of the rules you then have to keep your rapists child. Imagine how much that would affect you and your mental health.

The fetus is not a human when the woman is in the time range to have an abortion. It is a lot different to kill a fetus then to kill a living person who has a life / has lived a life.
