I am adopted and I am lucky to have been adopted into a safe and loving family

I know if I was forced to be raised by my biological and unfit parent my needs would not have been met and it would have been a traumatic experience.

Note that I said I was lucky. Pro-lifers bring up adoption a lot but this is not always a safe and loving experience. There are many children who suffer with abuse, trauma etc in the foster system.

It is for these real experiences, not hypothetical, I am pro choice. Only those who are ready to have kids and can provide them a safe and loving home, should have them.
