Women should always have rights to their own bodies regardless of others beliefs. No man, no man should have any say over a women’s uterus or their body. If you force women to grow life then boys should be forced to have a vasectomy at puberty. All women’s contraceptives should be free including consultations & women’s health needs to be taken seriously. it’s bad enough with the price of period products. Women can’t walk away from a pregnancy like men can so men can not have a say. Until there are laws in place that men are held accountable for getting a wom… Read more

Some arnt given a choice when fallen pregnant and so should be given a choice and especially to those who are victims of sexual assault and are very young such as age 12/13 does not have the will and mentality, financial aid or help from family and friends to raise a child
“A child raising a child”
Some are also not able to afford a child at that stage of their life too
@9FZWFBJ3yrs3Y
There are thousands of people trying to have babies who struggle with fertility. Surely adopting is an alternative. Babies have no voice. Abortion is murder.
@9FZVLJQ3yrs3Y
So it’s okay for a child to have a newborn? Like they barely have lived and yet they gotta suffer mentally and physically for 9 months? That’s no way for a child to live.
and yes there’s thousands of people who cannot have children however there are thousands of kids who are up for adoption and many who don’t get adopted for various reasons.
theres too many kids who are born and unwanted by many and even birth parents
It's no ones business except the woman's. I don't think anyone except her should have a say. Why does anyone who's nothing to do with the embryo give a shi if a clump of cells that can't even feel pain yet gets removed? According to scientific studies, the lowest estimate for when it can feel pain is 12-15 weeks, though it is more likely unable to feel pain before 24-25 weeks.

It is not only her baby, a baby has a mother and a father. We must protect the sanctity of life. There is already so many ways to prevent pregnancy such as celibacy, condoms, birth control. oral sex, what time of a girls cycle she has sex with you there is already so many things before abortion that can be done
It isn't just about the life of the baby, it's about the life of the mother (and father). If they can support the child, how much pain and struggle the mother may have to go through to have a child she can't even keep, care for and love. It's about whether she wanted the baby, if it was rape, if she was 14. Having a child is a big step that many need to prepare for.
My body my choice. If your daughter or sister, mother or aunt was raped and was forced to keep the baby of a traumatic experience can you really say that babies life will be positive. Giving the right to choose means that the person who is directly effected can make the choice for themselves and there body ( which is what is directly impacted) .
It's not fair to force a woman to bring a child in the world where she may be poor, have bad mental health, be in a violent relationship, was raped etc.
Pro-lifers love to talk about hypothetical children, yet majority don't adopt or donate to charities that support children etc. It's easy for them to take their stance because it requires no action or hard work. There is no consequence for them, but there are consequences for women who are forced to give birth and their children.
Medical issues, financial issues, people not being prepared/ just not wanting kids. Pro life movements don’t care about kids because they do not help the child in anyway after it is born (Primarily those raised in poverty), and the movement just takes rights/choices away from women. It’s not “Pro-Life” its Anti-Women.
Pro-life is nothing but an outdated religious outlook on a serious matter. There are a lot of unplanned and unwanted pregnancies where the child has to endure trauma and neglect. Not to mention the cases of unplanned pregnancies due to rape etc. Our bodies, our choice. If refused people will refer to their own ways of abortion. Scientifically the baby is terminated before it is formed and sentient. And to be honest, Science has shown us a lot more evidence than religion ever has.
There is already a global population issue, why force giving birth upon someone in this current climate? It is only adding to climate change, poverty, child neglect/abuse, more children in the system, the list goes on. Not only does it cause severe, often irreversible damage upon the mother to be forced into this. It takes two to tango. why only target the women?
We should be able to trust people to assess their own circumstances and make the correct decision. If we cannot, then that is a deeper, more fundamental issue in our country that needs to be solved rather than forcing people to have a baby that they have determined they do not have the means to care for.
I understand the argument that a baby should not be aborted if only weeks from being born - that I agree with. However, if a women is only weeks pregnant, and this thing is only a foetus with no emotions or feelings, not much more than a bug you squash under your shoe, why this life would be sided with over a women. A lot of these babies that are born out of no choice of abortion will grow up in unhealthy homes, in the foster care system, or dying young. We can not implement abortion bans without first funding and improving the foster care and adoption process - one that is currently lacking… Read more
Someone who is too young to give birth heightens the risk and complications, which could easily lead to death for both the baby and the mother. Someone who can’t afford to have a child may end up on the street and raise her child while homeless. Someone who was raped, having to raise this child knowing that.
There are so many more examples of why pro-life is not the answer.
A recently deceased or dying person can't be forced to donate organs to save a life; a healthy person can't be forced to donate blood or organs to somebody dying, who may have a full life and a family. A woman shouldn't be forced to carry a fetus she does not want which cannot survive on its own, isn't fully formed, and is essentially a clump of cells.
@9FR6Y7D3yrs3Y
Accidents happen, why bring unwanted life that is just gunna possibly put strain on social workers, families, mental health and finances. No one should be forced to have a child if they are not prepared.
Adoptions? Couples who cannot have children, or are homosexual should have the ability to adopt if they are willing to create a loving household for the child, instead of killing it.
@9FYTR263yrs3Y
Not your body, not your choice.
People who have fallen pregnant due to rape etc should not be forced to give birth.
People who may be facing life threatening issues should not have to continue in the birth.
I would rather people have an abortion than a baby to grow up in a home where they are unloved/neglected and abused.
The world is not some make believe happy place Society where everything conforms to ideals just because a group of people decide that it must, the world is a sandpit of all potentials and a lot of that is suffering. The world is harsh enough without being thrown around as a vulnerable child with no true guardian. If a child is not wanted they should not be made to suffer existence based on some person’s imaginary ideals. There is reality, and then there is how is actually is. People should mind their own life before being high and mighty over someone else’s decision on whether they will able to be a parent that a child deserves, at that point in time, in that particular situation
@9G4JKL53yrs3Y
any female should have the right to decide whether to give birth. forcing people to have a baby isn't right they cannot afford it, and they have mental health issues/ addiction issues. or the pregnancy could have been the result of non-consenting reasons. or it could be an underage/ person still in education therefore limiting there life and the babies
Abortion is never an easy or happy choice for women; it is not happening willy-nilly. Safe, legal abortions are necessary because they continue to occur when it is illegal. No matter what your stance is, the government should not interfere with personal autonomy. Also, a child should not be born into a situation where it will be unwanted or not properly cared for, and the foster system needs a lot of work. Pregnancy and childcare is a huge responsibility and medical risk and should not be forced upon anyone.
"Pro-life" is a misnomer. Most people who claim to be pro-life are in fact only pro-birth. Once the child is born, most of these people are completely uncaring for the plights of the families they have forced into existence, and unwilling to support struggling mothers and children. Women do not seek abortions for fun, they seek them because they are not physically, mentally or financially capable of supporting a child, and banning abortions will only drive more women into dangerous illegal procedures, and more children into difficult and traumatic lives that no one should have to be subjected to. The health and wellbeing of existing people, especially young people, should be more important than the imaginary life of a bundle of cells.

A female has a right to make decisions about her life, her body and her future. abortion is health issue. It's not a faith or religious issue. politicians should make decisions around this until there's huge change in the inequity of female representation in parliament. Prolife focuses on an potential chance of a future life and not the actual human beings life which the women has, this is a human's rights breach and the females life whose is paramount. Those who support prolife should be held accountable if they do not provide full time financial, emotional or physical care of their children. Males, especially those who get a female pregnant, should be forced to have vasectomy until they are ready to have children with a female who is also ready to conceive
A baby is a part of a mother's body. A mother should be able to decide what happens to her body, just like how a person can decide what medicine they want to take when being treated in a hospital area. Would you say that all doctors should be automatically able to pump whatever they wanted into a body of a person? What if the things they pump into them would put them in danger? Well, giving birth and taking care of a baby can also put a person in danger in many ways.

Bodily autonomy has to come first. I don’t think abortions should be celebrated or used in place of contraception and I don’t have a set opinion on whether I believe the foetus is a living human and should have human rights or not but I do know that a woman should be able to decide whether or not she puts herself through that. I think we need more education in schools about our biologies and sex education.
@9G5QMKF3yrs3Y
Her body her choice, the government has no right over women’s bodies, and in some cases an abortion can be totally necessary, for example if someone is raped and they get pregnant? Was that part of ‘gods’ plan, the only reason people want it banned is because they don’t understand what it would be like.

It is never okay to force a child, victim, or even just somebody who does not feel ready to give birth to go through with that experience. If people that do not want to are made to have children, they will not be good parents. The foster and adoption system is not a good life for kids, and if abortion is done early enough, it is not a termination of life. A termination of potential life is worth it to protect a living person's mental and physical health.
@BBNVVHQ2mos2MO
Everyone should have the right to bodily autonomy. Science shows that foetuses cannot feel pain. It should be ones choice when making a decision on something that changes their life, body, and wellbeing so drastically. I wouldn't tell a man to get a vasectomy so why should people have the right to tell me whether I can terminate a pregnancy or not (i'm afab by the way). It can also be life or death if someone doesn't have access to this type of healthcare.
Criminalising abortion takes away the autonomy of individuals. The choice should be available for those who need it, such as (but not limited to): those with health conditions that will be vulnerable during pregnancy and childbirth, SA victims, teen pregnancies, and those who can’t provide the basic needs and care for a child.
