In 2011 the level of public spending on the welfare state by the British Government accounted for £113.1 billion, or 16% of government. By 2020 welfare spending will rise to 1/3rd of all spending making it the largest expense followed by housing benefit, council tax benefit, benefits to the unemployed, and benefits to people with low incomes.

More, elderly and disabled benefits need to be increased, they need to cap the welfare benfit for woman with many children with unnamed fathers. The DPB was originally brought in to help mothers who had no jobs after a divorce. Now it is have another child to get more money.

Benefits should be on an individual basis. Alot of couples don't have shared finances so why should there be a weight on the other person's income.
@9DCSSLS1yr1Y
Welfare benefits should be replaced by a universal basic inome program

I don't understand enough about this but maybe more, and provide less benefits to immigrants.

Should not allow people coming to this country and not born here to be on the benefit as they came to this country and had to have money too. Unless they have medical issues then they should find a job.

I believe those on welfare need to be actively searching for work drug tested and can't be on it for more than a specified capped time. I think it's disgusting that people who aren't working can be receiving more than a fulltime worker.

Not relevant to me so I don’t know enough about this. However, Ensure benefits are spent on food, housing, clothing, medical needs. Not alcohol or drugs or tobacco or vapes
