Yes. Though I believe a mother and father is best and should in my opinion be prioritized, same sex couples should be allowed to adopt as long as they pass the same background checks as straight couples.

Children are not objects and adoption by anyone is outdated and has already traumatised 500,000+ people minimum in NZ . Babies need attachment to the mother at birth and need to be breastfed something men cannot do. Adoption severes the attachment bonding, a deep traumatic wound of abandonment for the child and a loss of human rights, genealogy and medical history. Mothers and babies should not be separated even by incarceration and they need more support to assist them not pathologising them as bad solo mothers in the media . Yes they should but it should be noted that these parents will prioritise the wellness of the child and not push any agenda onto the adopted kid.

Should be okay, as long as the child can be able to freely think for themselves and not be influenced by the parents ideology/sexual orientation .

I believe mother and father figure is better for the child. However, as long as they pass the same background checks.
