In many instances it might be a medical emergency and going ahead with the birth could lead to many complications or even loss of life. It is also not as simple as giving a child up for adoption in every scenario, this could lead to many what ifs. If a child is to be born they should have every right to a good and safe life which doesn't happen if families are not ready or prepared for a child.
