Housing › First Home Buyers
9>9 Personal answerYes. we need to make apartments cheap here for starters. we need to bring down the deposit amount. we need to regulate the banks forthmost. We need to bring back the NZ govt housing corporation. First home buyers should be able to get a loan from the government and pay back whatever the natural inflation rate is, so the govt doesnt make money but it doesnt loose money. we need to look at singapore and how the rules around house building. the government could give tax incentives to build high quality and affordable apartment buildings. there is a lot that can be done but we dont have the political will here. |
外交政策 › 恐怖分子公民
9>9 Personal answerwhat defines a terrorist? what if my government is corrupted and labels its political opponents terrorists? the word terrorist if often used to slander enemy of the states, such as julian assange, edward snowden, when in fact they are whistle blowers, heros. |

经济 › 资产增值税
9>9 Personal answerthis is a complicated question. yes we need one but there has to be a high thresh hold. kiwis already get taxed a lot and have low wages, and everything is expensive! we cant have a capital gains tax that prohibit hard working people from climbing up the ladder. but if you are already excessively wealthy, or a property investor etc then yes. i dont trust this labour government to do it. it has to be target for the very wealthy, corporations etc. but not on assets that arent generating money. you might own something expensive that doesnt generate money and now you have to pay a tax on it. there needs to be rigorous public debate |
Housing › Housing Infrastructure
9>9 Personal answerIf it is the right development. In auckland where I live for example, spreading out and building more suburbs is not the right idea. it costs a lot to build new roads and utilities to accommodate new developments that are far away from where people work, this also causes more traffic. We need to be like Europe, have a city boundary and build up in the city. But we must also keep our parks, green spaces and heritage houses and neighborhoods. we dont need to demolish mt eden and build a concrete jungle. there are plenty of places, mainly along main roads where we can build apartment buildings, such as what was done in new lynn and is being done in glen eden by the train station. there is lots of good land that can be redeveloped into apartment buildings without the need for tearing down nice neighborhoods. I am opposed to intensifying existing neighborhoods with crammed in 3 story town houses. Its much more efficient to build a high rise behind main roads shops, train stations, malls etc. Old industrial land can be redeveloped too. Neighborhoods with poor quality leaky homes can also be upgraded, such as ones in south auckland that are made of fiberlight and other poor materials. they are cheap, nasty homes that look ugly and so it makes sense to replace them. but it doesnt make sense to bull doze historic homes and beautiful suburbs with trees. We need to protect our heritage homes and trees and parks through out the city. i dont think its hard. we need proper planning so we can also live in a beautiful city. we cant just build whever its profitable to squeeze in an ugly house, and chop all the trees down. we want to be like europe. have housing but also nice parks and heritage buildings. |

医保 › 单一支付者医保
9>9 Personal answeryes but we need to fund it properly. NZ has been betrayed by both Lab and Nats who have not funded our health care system properly. Of course we should also allow private clinics for those who want that, so long as it isnt at the expense of the public system. Its shameful what we have now, but its not because it doesnt work, its because we have had decades of political leaders who have chosen not to fund the necessary investment in health care |

9>9 Personal answeragain it depends, what are we spending it on now? these questions are too general. it really depends on a case by case basis. if we are spending on "aid'' that is coaxed under the disguise of political manipulation like the USA does then no. but if it is genuine aid that is helping people then yes. If we are giving "Aid'' to another government to use for their own political agenda, then thats bad. but if the aid is given to good organisations or good governments that can show they are using that money to directly help people then of course we should. |
