教育 › Student Allowance
8>8 Personal answer是的 |
国内政策 › 社交媒体监管
8>8 Personal answerFreedom of speech is most important however fake news & misinformation on social media can be dangerous for inciting beliefs that can cause people to react and/or be worried about an issue that is not true. Therefore some sort of censorship, watchdog and/or accountability process should be set up to vet this type of misinformation, but is it the Governments responsibility to do that I'm not sure? |
移民 › Muslim Immigrant Ban
8>8 Personal answer不 |
国内政策 › 女子配额
8>8 Personal answerI think it's absolutely important to encourage diversity, however in the end the most qualified candidate should get the position regardless of gender |
总统大选 › 最低投票年龄
8>8 Personal answerI remembered when the legal drinking age was dropped from 20 to 18 when I was working for DB Breweries & I know that the majority of my colleagues in the the Liquor Industry at the time thought that was a dangerous move....why: one of the main reasons that was touted at the time for the change was - at 18 you are eligible for the armed forces & can go to war, so you should be allowed to drink & purchase alcohol as well (however we knew that when the drinking age was 20 - 18/19 year olds were sneaking into licensed premises with fake ID's / the same has come to pass now with 16/17 year olds doing the same with no experience of how to control the consumption of alcohol & its side effects! At least in the army you get the relevant training & support to be an enlisted person but no one prepares you for the issues associated with alcohol consumption & its effects. So what is my point - it is my understanding that they want to reduce the voting age from 18 to 16 & I think that is too low (like my alcohol example I think we need to protect our young teenagers from themselves & allow them to experience the wonders of youth without all of the issues associated with voting at 16 - yes talk about the process with them at 'college' like all other subjects but don't subject them to unnecessary pressure at this early stage!) |
环境 › 1080 Ban
8>8 Personal answerNo, but there should be more restrictions on its use |

Housing › Land Supply
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only if it is unproductive land |
总统大选 › 外国人的投票权
8>8 Personal answer不 |
国内政策 › Political Advertising on Social Media
8>8 Personal answerI think political parties would/should probably make that decision for them & not engage with politicking their messages through social media - this could potentially make them more vulnerable to nasty/personal attacks from the "faceless" public & in doing so dilute the impact of their initial message which was probably presented in a sincere & truthful manner. |
国内政策 › 燃烧的国旗
8>8 Personal answerI'm a traditionalist & our NZ Flag is what defines/identifies us as a people & country & it should be illegal to burn it - that type of action disrespects what our forebears did by paying the ultimate price during Gallipoli, WWI & II, in Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia & of recent times in Afghanistan etc. |
