Should political parties be required to run a certain percentage of women candidates?
No, the most qualified candidate should get the position regardless of gender
The seats should be only for those who deserve it no matter their gender or race. If the political party is made up of mostly women who deserve then that is fine, same goes for men and races.

A lot of woman will not even get the chance to get to that position because theyre already seen as less capable than men by majority of society. If there was a quota, more woman would get the chance they deserve and finally get a say in things that affect them.

I agree with your perspective. Meritocracy should be the guiding principle in politics, as in other fields. Take Angela Merkel for example, she rose to the position of the German Chancellor, not because of a quota, but because of her competence and leadership. However, there's also a need to address the systemic biases that might prevent capable women from rising to the top. How can we ensure a level playing field, so that talent, regardless of gender, can shine through?
