no i think learning chinese is more important because of the fact that theres more chinese people here than there are maori so i dont see the point in leraning maori at all

No, recent efforts by the (Labour) government have been undemocratic and ruinous to the education sector. Until the government learns to do this competently it should not be mandatory.

100% as a New Zealand European we have by far lost our countries roots. Much like other countries the Maori heritage is majorly suppressed.

yes, but only in primary school and in high school it should be offered be every school, taught by a language specialist, but not compulsory.

It should not, schools should have the final say if Te Reo should be compulsory. This should not and is not in the Government's bests interests affecting the New Zealand people.
