We are in huge debt. Lock up the politicians who created the debt, no book deals, no stardom.
Make them liable just as the future generations are for paying back the politicians poor choices.
We cannot afford to help others when we are already in bad shape.
If my personal bank account is empty I cannot lend a friend thousands of dollars. Nor should a country.
If New Zealand send men and power to another country, the country should see something they can give to New Zealand like a strong, wealthy partnership in trade or helping to settle New Zealand immigrants etc.
because our standard of living is so high we can afford to help other countries and build relationships with them
I think that we are global citizens and should look after the needy, just as we look after struggling members of our community and not just our own families.
