Top Disagreement
Scientists have been aware of the detrimental effects of human activities on the environment and have been trying to warn the public and governments for over 50 years of the devastating consequences if we do not desist. Now we can see it with our own eyes and recognise the changes with our own experiences yet people continue to put their heads in the sand in the interests of personal gain and fear of change. Well there will be plenty of sand and not much else left for your great grandchildren if you don’t face it now and make brave decisions for future generations. Our forefathers sacrificed their lives willingly in great wars for our future, perhaps we need to look to them for inspiration on what it means to care for our children’s futures.
@9G34KYW 1yr1Y
Yes 100%! I think society has become more self-focused and worried about how these changes will affect their own lives', that worrying about the world they're leaving behind for our future people can be easily forgotten.
@9G39KSP1yr1Y
We’re all responsible for global warming and we all are responsible of the future generations and their lives.
@9G5T2Q41yr1Y
Science confirms we need to change our behaviours now, there is a 'tipping point' of no return of which would be disasterous. Lets stop ignoring and burying our heads in the sand.
@9G5CYRR1yr1Y
I believe global warming is not fully a natural occurence. Most of it is due to the burning of fossil fuels and the carbon emissions we release.
@9G4MXR91yr1Y
Yes the climate fluctuates, but statistic prove Co2 levels are rising due to human emissions increasing green house gas qualities in the atmosphere leading to increased global warming.
@9G5LVCS1yr1Y
Global warming is due to our habits. The industrial revolution caused majority of the greenhouse gases to enter our atmosphere.
Humans have and are contributing to global warming with greenhouse gases as well as land conversion, over fishing etc. We're ruining the planet
@9FYCS7G1yr1Y
It is undisputed that the climate is warming due to greenhouse gas emissions and that humans are producing greenhouse gases at an unprecedented rate thereby accelerating warming at a very unnatural rate

I believe that climate change is real and that we should be looking at ways to reduce carbon emissions and also develop ways thats we could live more environmentally friendly.

There is far too much corroborated, peer-reviewed research available for anyone to legitimately cling to the notion that global warming is a natural occurrence. I believe that anyone who holds this view is actively choosing to be ignorant. I'd like to see these people produce a scientific study proving that gases such as Carbon Dioxide do not strongly absorb infra-red radiation (which, of course, they will be unable to do). I also suggest that these people take an introductory astrophysics course and learn about the runaway greenhouse effect on Venus.
The rate of pollution and damage to the environment has trended up as nations develop, plenty of evidence that the way we live is not sustainable and needs to change to reliance on sustainable, recyclable/circular economies
Climate scientists have a consensus view on global warming - that it is largely man-made and I follow science based reasoning.
@9G6S2971yr1Y
Even though the earth has fluctuated between warming and cooling periods in the past, the current rate at which the planet is warming is influenced by human activities, going back to the industrial revolution. I believe by regulating our emissions better, we can return this rate to one more aligned with natural occurrences and leave the current state more manageable for future generations.
@9FYJKYN1yr1Y
Global warming is a natural occurrence, but all the scientific evidence shows that the climate is currently warming a lot faster due to human caused emissions. Normally organisms and environments can adapt, but over an extremely long period of time. Not to mention when the climate has made extreme changes in the past it has led to large extinction events. Life will go on, but not as we know it.
@9G5QMR41yr1Y
Natural but we’re speeding it up so we should take action to slow down emissions ect more affordable ev cars
@9G6SNDD1yr1Y
Global warming is the fault of humanity. Our constant use of fossil fuels and unnecessary waste is destroying our home planet. The use of fossil fuels is destroying the ozone layer and causing the dangerous rays of the sun to damage our fragile ecosystem. Glaciers are melting, more dangerous storms are appearing and sea levels are rising because of our careless actions.
@9G6JL6S1yr1Y
Regardless of any influence to warming, we should be regulated in some way to minimise our through-life environmental impact. I would be comfortable knowing that when I die I’ve had the least impact possible as a result of living an ordinary life.
Yes we are currently in a warming period of the earth but not only has it increased rapidly because of us but we have made it much more dangerous than it should be. We can look at many graphs and statistics from valid sources to prove this fact. We must do something now. Also it is mostly big corporations not changing their unsustainable methods that is causing this so people do general public find it harder to believe it’s real as they may not make a carbon footprint that reflects the current warming of the world.
The majority of world scientists agree that global climate change has been caused by human activity, especially the use of fossil fuels, deforestation and habitat destruction
Studies have shown global warming to be a definite human caused occurrence. If you deny that, you are denying your involvement with the pain and suffering of the next generation.
It is a natural occurrence, but it is being accelerated past safe and historic levels by human intervention
Global Warming has proven to be increasing in the last century. Temperatures of oceans and climate have surpassed all recorded and predicted temperatures from the past. Ice caps are melting, causing a positive feedback loop. This is because snow and ice reflect almost all sunlight, while the ocean absorbs most of it. Therefore, exposed ocean will absorb heat where ice and snow would have deflected it out of our atmosphere. The climate changes naturally, but because of the carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases produced by anthropogenic sources, heat is trapped in our atmosphere. Radiation… Read more

Even if it is a natural occurrence it is going to be devastating to many people and creatures. So let's reduce humanity's contributions to global warming to avoid making things worse!
@9FZWWD41yr1Y
Climate records show that Climate Change is happening at an ever increasing rate since the industrial revolution. A relatively short window of time in terms of the age of the earth.
@9G7M7B41yr1Y
Global warming is a natural and anthropogenic occurence. There is indeed a natural ebb and flow of the climate but the evidence is clear that post-industrial levels are outside of this natural ebb and flow.
@9G6WFFD1yr1Y
They’re dreaming , they’re selfish, and ignorant, Putting the economy under its current constructs above all else
@9G5RW431yr1Y
If it is a natural occurrence then why is it harming and causing so many animals and parts of nature?
Basic science tells us otherwise. The greenhouse effect is real, isotopic analysis of carbon shows increasing concentrations of CO2 from burning fossil fuels in the air.
@9G4KBBQ1yr1Y
We are now having a lot of natural disasters from our current weather that's happening from global warming. Look at the percentage of how much Antarctica has melted in comparison to the 1800-1900s
@9G4BC5Y1yr1Y
Ask proponents to provide evidence and their rationale for such a belief. What can you do with people who can't see the nose in front of their faces
Yes, it is, just not this drastically. The amount of change seen over the past few years trumps any and all other warming events and that is worrying.
It is technically a “natural” occurrence but it is one that can and should be controlled as it is caused by us and only detriments us, the earth, our ecosystems, flora and fauna, etc.
@9FJKC7V2yrs2Y
Golbal warming is terrible. If we don’t do anything about it soon water levels will start rising faster the air will be terrible to breathe in.
@9FJK5XR2yrs2Y
I believe a lot more needs to be done so big business and companies take more responsibility and get heavily fined for producing products that are not recyclable, renewable or earthwise
Us humans are a huge cause to global warming and we NEED to get better and protecting our earth and moana!
All the science shows that it is not natural. Look at the changes in the past 50 years alone and you'd see that the rate these changes are occurring is not natural. You should feel stupid with how dumb that argument is.
Studies have shown global warming to be a definite human caused occurrence. If you deny that, you are denying your involvement with the pain and suffering of the next generation.
@9GD6P9L1yr1Y
The current climate crises can not be natural because climate change has gotten worse since the Industrial Revolution when factories became popular.
@9G6TX5J1yr1Y
Science and anecdotal evidence demonstrates you are an extreme outlier with that stance and you will be the first to complain to local or central government when unusual weather conditions affect you and your family
@9G5WVKH1yr1Y
I believe that climate change is real and that we should be looking at ways to reduce carbon emissions and also develop ways thats we could live more environmentally friendly.
@9G77V4Z1yr1Y
Global warming is a natural occurrence, but i disagree because it is the use of many things that is making it worse and harming our planet
@9G6BBX21yr1Y
It’s impossible that all scientists have colluded to make us believe in global warming when it is not a reality. Believing it’s natural proves you’re a lazy person who can’t be bothered doing tasks that might help the situation. This is bound to show in other ways in your life. You are likely to be a “conspiracy theorist” run down “rabbit holes” on social media, suffer mental health challenges and get tied up with others who support and encourage your skewed thinking.
@9G5XTCL1yr1Y
Humans and the farming industry are contributing far too much to green house gas emissions, increasing global warming more so than it would occur ‘naturally’.
Science says otherwise. We should be listening to the lead climate scientists instead of feeding into conspiracy. It both the governments and individuals responsibility to create a greener planet.
@9G5M4D71yr1Y
If it was natural, why aren't the animals adapting to the change? Why are there big changes in the weather and temperature? Why is it getting hotter every year?
It is factually incorrect if you say that global warming is a natural occurrence it was created because of an increase of carbon emissions and fossil fuel.
@9G2DGDZ1yr1Y
I do not think there is a counter argument to "No, and I believe global warming is a natural occurrence". To believe this despite the overwhelming readably available evidence that has existed for 100 years and came to public attention 60 years ago requires such disconnect from reality that no argument would convince them other wise.
Global warming is not a natural occurrence, we are far to cosumer directed and need to reduce this immediately.
@9FZZPY51yr1Y
I strongly disagree and we need to do everything we can to help reduce carbon emissions.Reducing waste and cleaning up the oceans and water ways also teaching people to be more resourceful and less wasteful.
@9FYXH3G1yr1Y
It is a natural occurrence, but it is being accelerated past safe and historic levels by human intervention
Regardless of the causes the impact will effect almost everyone. So the least "we" can do is to slow down this process
@9FXNFVB1yr1Y
It has been scientifically proven that the rate of warming is exceeding anything in earths history. Climate change is the biggest issue in the world right now and should be taken more seriously.
@9G5FTHZ1yr1Y
EXCUSE ME! Your tacky factories are making our planet MELT, so if you want to DIEEE keep making your little plastic do-dads that no one cares about apart one little slimy handed toddler that keeps your business afloat!!!
Global warming is a natural occurrence, the earth goes through long cycles of warming and cooling since its creation. However not at this rate, by mining deep parts of the earths layers to extract its minerals and oils to burn or use those as fuel, fertilizers, materials etc we are releasing chemicals into our atmosphere that create a warming effect by increasing the earths temperature. You can argue this is natural, because it is, however, it is something that humans will struggle to outlive, and or will suffer deep loss by natural disaster if left unmanaged.
