Yes

Enough bike lanes have been provided already. Shortening width of streets have proven a problem in certain areas.

These studies shows cycling is beneficial for not just human but environmental health also.

Palmerston North Council and Auckland Council have stats showing people will ride bikes more if they feel safe. Riding bikes has positive health effects.

Bicycle lanes take up space on already too narrow lanes and they remove parking spaces critical for local businesses. Bicycles are not registered and do not contribute any funding for creation and maintenance of these lanes.

No

Where road conformation allows, simple road markings will suffice. Not expensive. Elsewhere let's just share and be patient.

Countries that have proper bicycle infrastructure and incentivises the use of this infrastructure benefit from improved mental and physical health easing the burden on the healthcare system. The money saved on healthcare costs makes up for initial investment in the infrastructure. Of course more people on bikes means less cars on the road, so less traffic for those that still need to drive.

If we are serious about health and climate change, we need to encourage more cycling and less driving.

Cyclists do not contribute financially via registration fees and are therefore passing the cost on to people who do not use the facilities

No. Sounds like a good idea, but the reality is millions spent that was not spent on the roads and infra. They are letting the country down while convincing them they're "helping".

No. This involved politicians yelling at shop-keepers, massive disruption to the city and roads, people unable to make deliveries. It's a mess, and is being poorly managed.

 @BC72VBDanswered…2mos2MO

I would like to see more rural bike lanes before someone gets injured

 @BBX7PLZanswered…2mos2MO

No. Another good idea... made useless, invasive, and offensive by politicians.

 @BBB8CDXanswered…2mos2MO

Yes but not at the expense of making parking and normal day driving harder

increase but not adding bike lanes or expanding, the road is for cars

 @9RWHKMKanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but not at the expense of cars. The government must provide sufficient ability for people to commute, not fixate on bikes or any 1 solution.
