Should immigrants be required to learn English?
Yes, and remove multilingual translations from government documents and services
An English speaking person immigrating from New Zealand to Europe would not expect that they are forced to assimilate themselves; much of their population already speaks English or has resources in place to support English speakers. Being against non-English speaking immigrants is a class of xenophobia almost exclusively extended to people of colour and associated with a fear of the unknown; if we allowed them resources to live here comfortably and maintain their culture we may expect that overtime their understanding of English would improve regardless, without them feeling isolated.
