Foreign investment is what has got us in the terrible state we are in- overseas investors buy here, go home and pay tax there, leave their partners and kids here to suck up the schooling system, bring their elders out to suck from the health system, while many, not all, do not contribute to the systems they suck from. House prices go up so our kids will NEVER own a home - this is not an answer to our problems here. Nationals new policy regarding overseas investment is like putting make up over a wound - it will not heal but it will look good for a little while.
