Any person buying a home to live in should be allowed to access KiwiSaver for this, and bring back offsetting mortgage for anyone who bought a home before KiwiSaver. A rich relative just bought an investment property using wife’s KiwiSaver highly unethical probably illegal as it’s not her first home they already bought a million dollar home they live in together. Yet I am struggling after I had a child and my career was made untenable, I’m paying a mortgage, but I can’t use my KiwiSaver to help because I already bought my first home.
