I agree with focusing on improving public schools and teachers wages, but also think we need more publicity funded schools with high teacher ratios for the really troubled kids who are dropping out and committing crimes/sinking into addictions and apathy, or are really disruptive in schools to the point other kids' education is being impacted as well as their own. We need a LOT of these to rescue the disengaged kids who are about to become a huge societal burden if they aren't turned around, and for the rest of the kids and teachers still trying to learn in regular public schools.
