Other countries may have better education in some fields that NZ is experiencing a lack of. These immigrants bring unique skills to the country and choose to contribute the the economy

Then how will they be able to organise the basics in NZ, let alone tell us when they're sick, need help or contribute to our country?

i think they should be required to learn basic english to get rid of the already existing language barrier aswell as reduce racism of some
We should be welcoming to all people as long as they haven't committed crimes or are a threat being in out country. Good people should be allowed in.
Do we necessarily want to invest both tax payers money and government funding into a process that would be received globally as a condemnation of the cultural values of other countries? We value our own culture so highly but also maintain to recognise that we are a multicultural country; our systems in place currently still marginally support this. How can we expect tourism (one of our biggest financial reliance’s) to be supported if people feel uncomfortable travelling here?
