Life begins at conception scientifically at least by my understanding, I agree with providing birth control, sex education and more social services.

Abortion is not ending a life in any way. Abortion is not murder. There should be no debate over women bodies, and more support for growing young children.

By providing sex education, birth control and more social services to the people of New Zealand, we automatically reduce the rate of abortions as more individuals are educated on how to prevent pregnancies as soon as they become sexually active.

Getting pregnant for some people are the easiest thing to do and some people may not have had the choice of getting pregnant and don’t want to be pregnant

There is no convincing ingrained, generational idealogies. If a person(after due consideration and adequate education/awareness) feels it is the best option for themselves and other parties affected by the choice - they should be allowed to choose. It's not for any outside party to dictate. I'm pro choice, have suffered grief over miscarriage and the knowledge that I may not be able to share in the joy of children, but would not dream of telling a person to go against their beliefs so long as those beliefs do not cause - or advocate - harm to others, especially others who do not share that belief.

Someone's body is theirs, and should not be controlled in any way by anyone else or o a governmental level.

If we get free education on the consequences of rape and being unsafe in sexual intercourse I think that it is less likely to have young people in need of an abortion after rape. We could also bring in self-defence.

Pro-life; while I agree with providing more free birth control, optional and age-appropriate sex education and social services to support people around sex and abortion, I believe it is better for abortion to not be so available and easy to access as it currently is. I believe that providing more education around a child's conception and the stages of foetal development in the womb would be beneficial for reducing abortions so that young people and adults can be aware of when life really begins and what the true effects and outcomes of abortions really are. If abortion was viewed as a death of a baby, similar to a miscarriage, rather than just a choice to end a pregnancy I believe many people would reconsider having abortions.

At the end of the day choosing to get an abortion is ending a life. All those other things absolutely need to be provided and there needs to be support to reduce the number of abortions.

In this day and age there is no excuse for unwanted pregnancies unless in the event of rape/sexual violence. In the event of a baby being diagnosed with a severe mental or physical disability then the parents should be given a choice as to whether the pregnancy should be terminated, but abortion should be the exception as opposed to the rule.

Birth control treats fertility like a disease and expects woman to not get pregnant from sex. Therefore, promoting birth control would only increase the number of abortions. Sex education could be beneficial if it were proper sex education unlike the rubbish they teach in schools now.

1 in 20 women are sexually assaulted. We should invest in birth prevention but if abortion is necessary that it completely up to the women.
