Mental health is an indivisible part of health, a conerstone of it. Most health conditions have a significant mental health compenent or aetiology and treatment.

Not necessarily, my partner is a mental health nurse who specialises in psychosis. It is not as simple as you think.

Mental health is a national problem, and part of health care, and as such should actually be paid for by government

Mental health issues are increasing for the whole country and it is the governments responsibility to ensure that there are facilities and resources available to support people accessing help quickly.

Companies should not be using people’s mental health issues for profit! What is and is not mental health is a huge debate the country needs to look at. Bad behaviour IS NOT a mental health issue.

private companies only pass the cost on to challenged individuals that are already strained for financial support

Mental health is a social issue that impacts all areas of society and should managed through a centralized approach.

Just like physical health, mental health is becoming a national issue and is very costly to a nation - investing in a good health care system including mental health will make Aotearoa thrive more
