I think young people should have the right to vote, but then again, not many kids under 18 have yet developed the sense of what's right and what's wrong. For example, more kids from Generation Z (ages 16 or 17 usually) illegally road race than people 18+ do.

But if there are extremely intellectual people out there under 18, they deserve a vote! People should be allowed to vote if they meet the following requirements:
1. They are either over 18 or
2. Their school reports have 80% or more as their average for Politics.

There's 4 years between voting. It should be lowered. Those who are 16 in an election year, will be 20 by the time they can vote. That's 4 of their potential working years. They should be able to have a say on what will affect their immediate future

Teens in our generation now are much more involved with our country and I believe over 16s should be allowed to vote!

I believe the voting age should be lowered to 16 at the least because teens are the new generation and they should get a say of what they believe

Young people should get as much say in what happens to put country as the elderly. The young are the people most impacted by decisions made today.

Lowering the voting age allows for the younger generations to have a say in the world that they are growing up in. As well as if younger people want to vote they would and if they aren’t interested it politics then they won’t vote.

That most young people pay taxes and therefore have a right to vote. It’s our future and there for we have a right to have a say in it

Why should we have to wait until we are 18 so that we can choose who is leading them. The education system should be chosen by the people in it not the people who think that they are doing the right thing.

I believe that the younger generation has a more optimistic view on society and the changing world than the last generation. I strongly believe that the government should lower the voting age to 16 years old for the better of the country.
