The police is a citizen's contract with the state: the citizen refuses weapons, and the state tries to ensure his safety. An alternative to the abolition of the police is the right to use weapons by citizens. And it doesn't matter, they are called militia, squad or self-defense forces. New Zealand is not ready for this yet.
