I dont think people should be transitioned at all, I think the WHO no longer viewing this as a Mental health issue is due to modern politics and political correctness.
There mere fact that a large amount of individuals who identify as transgender also have higher suicidal tendency or require a puberty blocker illustrates to me that it is still a mental health issue, people who have a disconnect from their mental reality and physical reality (other than those who are truly intersex) should not be treated with life altering drugs, certainly not from a young age or taken to with a scalpel as this doesn't solve the disconnect.
What does being a man feel like to a 10 year old? What does being a women feel like to a little girl?
They wouldn't be able to tell you as they are not yet one.
As for assigned genders and sex at birth, these are not assigned to you, you don't say any other animal has been assigned a sex or gender they just are, all animals are born male or female. It is a biological certainty that every human on this earth is one or the other - so if an individual does not feel as though they are in fact that, they should be helped and understood.
It is generally accepted to not support a mentally ill person's delusions as this does not remedy the delusions, so i don't believe society should also rally to support this delusion.
I accept every person, and Im all for living however you want to live, but I don't support every religion, belief and political view so I don't accept the current view point on this issue either.
