How do personal experiences shape your opinion on the necessity of governmental intervention in economic affairs?
Government intervention is fairly important in economic affairs, in order to ensure everyone is paying the right tax and it's all held to a high standard.
Only necessary in extreme circumstances, such as 2008 economic crash.
@9WJS7VS4mos4MO
Only if the economic affairs are going super bad and a country is about to go extinct

To what extent do you believe that a nation should prioritize its citizens' welfare over global commitments?
@9TFBSGTOpportunities5mos5MO
Much more. The state should most certainly priorititize its own citizens over any other countries'
@9SHDC2ZOpportunities6mos6MO
They're delusional, we live in a far bigger world than we did when their views were the most popular
@9S7JYND6mos6MO
I believe that a nation should prioritize the wellbeing of its citizens over global commitments, but not to the extent to which the nation's global commitments are 'thrown out the window', there is always a right balance, and the government MUST have people that are able to find this balance.

How does the idea of lowering taxes impact your views on governmental responsibility versus individual freedom?
Govt, current has its fingers in to many pies and more decisions should be left upto local elected parties
@9TFBSGTOpportunities5mos5MO
I believe in lowering taxes on workers. But we should tax things NO ONE owns, like land, mining, carbon, etc...

Can reduced government spending lead to more personal autonomy, or does it risk leaving vulnerable populations unsupported?
The "New Conservative" approach argues that reduced government spending can enhance personal autonomy by allowing individuals more freedom to make their own choices. However, this reduction often risks leaving vulnerable populations without essential support services like healthcare and education. A balanced approach is necessary, where safety nets empower individuals without creating dependency. Solutions may include community programs and private sector involvement to maintain support for those in need while promoting personal freedom. The challenge is to foster individual autonomy while ensuring that vulnerable groups have access to crucial resources.
