Church and state are separate and because we are a secular state nz should operate a secular view of marriage. There is also no difference between the love and commitment of a gay couple compared to a straight couple.
Who gives us the right to judge a person's love choice. Sometimes it can be about companionship and safety that creates the love so if they want to show the world by getting married of their love then so be it.

It is 2023, grow up and get a life. If it doesn’t impact you, why do you care. We should not have a say on who gets married other than obviously if they’re underage
