Well, it important to actually get funding for political parties at all, so keeping charities and unions involved ensure revenue from organisations remain. The non-profit nature of both unions and charities mean they will support parties and issues that are important to people, rather than profits. Profit increasing policies and parties will sacrifice the benefits of law for people and fill it with corporate benefit. Thats why they should remain, but without corporate interest.
