Taiwan has reported the detection of 37 Chinese military aircraft, including fighter jets, bombers, and drones, near its airspace on Wednesday, July 10. These aircraft were reportedly heading towards the Western Pacific to join a Chinese aircraft carrier group.
The Taiwanese Ministry of Defense noted this activity began early in the morning and is seen as a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Taiwan and Beijing.
This move by China is interpreted as an aggressive display of military might amidst the already strained relations with Taiwan.
