. No end of life plan for the batteries

Yes but if the company that produced that car used more than75% carbon to produce it forget subsides

 @9G4C26Lanswered…7mos7MO

No, because the vehicle providers are simply increasing the sale cost of the cars based upon the subsidy.

No, but the govt should cap how much it costs to purchase these making it fair and equitable for all new zealanders if they choose to purchase one

 @9FWJ6YHanswered…7mos7MO

Yes, but the government should offset this via via graduated tax at purchase of ICE engines (less efficient larger engine, larger tax)

 @9FVR9DWanswered…7mos7MO

If you can buy an electric vechile you have alot more money than most average New Zealander you should be taxed just as much tax every one else and not get it back

 @9FVR5SLanswered…7mos7MO

No, considering batteries and engine parts are not exactly environmentally friendly, also they aren't reliable in flooding. Furthermore government should focus on more important infrastructure such as public transport.

 @9FVPDPBMāorianswered…7mos7MO

I think if the government will subsidies taxpayers who purchase electric vehicles they should subsides taxpayers who purchase non electric vehicals

 @9FVLTYLanswered…7mos7MO

the issue with electrical vehicles is that most of the batteries and engine parts aren't truly environmentally friendly. looking into improving public transport is more important.

 @9FVGQFTGreenanswered…7mos7MO

No, they should put that money towards building an infrastructure so we can actually support EVs moving forward. They're an amazing idea but we don't have the support for them yet.

 @9FVDJYLGreenanswered…7mos7MO

Yess and no, they need to first figure out a fair buy back system for current ice cars and then help people without overloading them with debt into a more efficient car that meets their needs because a used leaf at 30000 with 80km range isn't going to work for everyone.

 @9G3B3DGOpportunities answered…7mos7MO

No, for every rich person who buys an electric vehicle subsidies should be provided to a poor person

 @9FYG9B6Greenanswered…7mos7MO

While I can theoretically support electric vehicles, even with subsidies, electric vehicles are still out of the price range for all but the upper or at least upper-middle class. For me to support a subsidy, it would need to benefit the lower or working class.

 @9FXZG76Greenanswered…7mos7MO

No, because many people are unable to afford electric vehicles, and rewarding those that buy them is backwards.

 @9FXPHQZLabouranswered…7mos7MO

Look into the manufacturing/environmental cost of the vehicle vs an ICE vertical and if the environmental benefit is better than yes.

 @9FWWD8Canswered…7mos7MO

Yes but also provide Subsidies for electric generation at home, e.g. solar or wind. as we will soon have a power. crisis
