EV's are being pitched as 'the solution' when they are but an alternative to combustion engines. They are also terrible for the environment, just in different and less visible ways, but it is short-sighted for them to be sold as the answer to the transport/environmental impact debate. Stop pitching them as the answer and treat them as an alternative until hydrogen engines or another solution are properly developed and can be proven to be better for the environment.
I feel that in 10 years EV's will be obsolete and the money invested in the EV network infrastructure will have been wasted, and be just another black mark on the environmental balance sheet for installation and then demolition/repurposing.

Petrol companies pay for and provide fuel stations, either petrol companies or electric companies should be providing charging stations.

Depending on the sustainability of electric vehicles, and their affordability, charging stations should only be increased in accordance with use of electric vehicles

Though electric vehicles have good effect now, what effect do their batteries have on the environment and what do they plan on doing with the battries when they are no longer needed in their vehicle

Any real investigative analysis on the dangers of Lithium, the cost to produce lithium EV's, including human suffering and death, with an added price for the vehicles, the ridiculous cost and time wasting factor of charging stations, makes EV's an extremely inefficient idea from the get go. The EV's need to be powered by a self contained energy supply such as hydrogen fueled / EV converters. This is a no-brainer to any one with any intellect.

Not keen drop fuel prices we don't have the infrastructure to maintain us all in electric cars an houses

Electric cars are part of the transport landscape and to not build charging stations is being like an ostrich with its head in the sand

 @9F97ZDPACTdisagreed…8mos8MO

Because adoption of electric cars should be based on consumer demand and trends and government shouldn’t be involved in the market. It is not the role of government

The only goal of private companies is to increase the wealth of their shareholders at the expensive of everyone and everything else.

It depends on the need. I have chosen to operate a hybrid motor vehicle as in my opinion, it best suits my needs. Those who have gone for the plug-in charging EV, need facilities up and down the country to supply their needs, however they need to pay something for that privilidge.

From start of production to the end of life of an electric vehicle, is it really more environmentally friendly than a internal combustion motor? Provide proof either way
