A safe Haven will only create a gateway that allows people to believe that it is ok to use drugs. Even micro-dosing has negative effects on people with life long addictions. There are 3 cycles to addiction, which involves a three-stage cycle—binge/intoxication, withdrawal/negative affect, and preoccupation/anticipation.

If there is a safe haven for people to do drugs then that is encouragement for people to do drugs as they know they can go to that place to try / start or do drugs with no consequences.

The disruption, chaos and family relationships breakdown we have experienced has cost us financially and emotionally despite several attempts at rehab. The strong will to take the wrong path in life has lasted several decades. Amazingly this person has evaded the law.so sadly has not met his proverbial brick wall ie incentive to stop.

Drug is drug, no need to show you statistics. If you take drug, you suffer yourself. Don't pull others in.
This is encouraging the use of illegal drugs, this will put a drain on resources for the health board and Police. It will more than likely create more crime and targeted crime in these areas.
Kids are looking up to the elder generation. If they see there parents using elicit drugs for the fun of it, then they are wanting to try it and possibly now get hooked on it
1 in 8 children live with a parent or parents who abuse drugs and alcohol. This endangers the kids to physical and mental violence. Making excuses such as it a 'health issue' makes the abusers seem like victims.

If the person is charged with drug abuse, they should be provided with help e.g. rehabilitation, this should happen during their sentence though as they still should be charged with the crimes that they have committed.
freedom of choice good or bad is a matter of opinion. taking away freedom of choice, you are taking away the human right in how they want to live their life. Everything in moderation including how much you manipulate/control the public.

California has decriminalised drugs and is seeing the once beautiful city turn into a dangerous slum.
