whistleblowers risk their lives to expose corruption so they should be protected as long as there is no threat to national security
It is hard enough for people to speak out even when there is no official consequence, any further that is added will get in the way of important issues coming to light. The public need this sort of information to make decisions for the common good and protect each other.

Criminal or antisocial activity should be called out. If correct, no action should be taken against whistleblowers.
While reducing sentences may be a step in the right direction, it may not go far enough in ensuring the safety and willingness of whistleblowers to come forward. Stronger protections are necessary to address the complex challenged whistleblowers face
