Universal basic income will increase the proportion of funds that benefit citizens, reduce government interference in peoples personal lives, allow people to become more educated and to pursue their own welfare, safety, and life goals more efficiently than the state can do this for them.
People who work hard can get ahead - others have done it, and so can they! this policy discourages people from aspiring for a better life, and they will realize they can do little and still get paid. This will slow our economy and make life harder for taxpayers who pay for their lethargy.

It’s not financially visible. There are a lot of other steps our government can take to support people. This would be a cop out so soon.
The context is we are all humans and therefore should be supporting each other without the need for data or statistics, which only ever tell a quantitative story rather than a qualitative narrative.
