What role do you think a government should play in healthcare, and how would that affect you and your family's well-being?

The national healthcare system is inefficient and waiting times are too long. There should be more private options and some of our tax money should be spent subsidising or paying for our treatment privately

They should invest more in our healthcare system and people that are studying or working for that. Like more benefits for workers. Investing money into healthcare can only do so much there needs to be initiatives set up like with the nurses in Australia. For my family, there is some trouble with mental health and the public health care system has been horrible and we had to go private. It was okay for us but what about the people that cant go private?

The government should allow the privatisation of healthcare, while either increasing or not reducing the current amount of spending and investment towards it. But small cities with only one hospital, like Nelson, should not be able to privatise.
