Most people don't actually know what their chromosomes are. They're more complicated than we might think - most people have either XX or XY but there are other possibilities. Also, some people have male genitalia despite "female" chromosomes or vice versa. Gender and sex is biologically a lot more complicated than we think. There is even some evidence that transgender identity is a biological feature of the brain.
