Many of the drugs that are currently classed as illegal have little or no impact on anyone other than the user themselves, especially when compared to other already legal "drugs" (i.e. Alcohol). Many other drugs classed as illegal are downright beneficial. We need to completely revise our drug classifications on a case by case basis, taking into account modern research and utilising common sense rather than propaganda from last century.

The death rate from fentanyl outweighs any potential benefit. Synthetic drugs are killing young people and blocking our icus

Couldn't agree more. We should be spending more of our resources focusing on these obviously destructive substances.

Drug abuse is often a sign of mental health issues, the inability to cope with reality ands to be treated as such. A safe haven such as a ‘methadone bus’ as has been used in the Netherlands provides a safe place to administer the drug and prevent having to find an illegal drug dealer in unsafe and vulnerable conditions. On top of that drug use can be monitored and individual programs developed to kick the habit so that lives can be turned around in a positive and supportive environment.
