It opens up too much risk for potential abuse of power, inappropriate or incorrect use, it just adds Another layer or unnecessary risk and danger to both teachers and children. Children should be engaged and inspired to learn not scared to be in a classroom. Give teachers more support, upgrade the curriculum to be more engaging, upskill teachers to be more engaging and teach kids more practical life skills at schools instead

Children shouldn’t be exposed to that. Also the fact that children can easily play up, a teacher that isn’t all there might pull the trigger
Bring a gun and you are halfway to using it. Not bringing will prevent escalation of incidents and accidental use - both more likely to happen if guns are readily available.

Arming teachers just guarantees that your child is in school with guns. Children should not be in school with guns. Neither the teachers nor students should be at risk of gun violence and we reduce that by reducing guns.
No one should have guns with the intent to use them to shoot other people unless they are soldiers in a war.
If they are not right in the head, they might pull the trigger in them or kids. This is not okay. Children could get their hands on it since they typically are not too smart.
We have not had enough shootings in schools to warrant guns. Better off training teachers to demobilise someone attacking
